On Monday, all the students walked in one after another with their backpacks on. Suddenly, Victor exclaimed, “Wow! So pretty!” Everyone looked toward the door to see Iris wearing a pink skirt with flower and butterfly patterns on it. When it moved in the breeze, it was like the butterflies were flapping their wings.
Everyone praised Iris’ beautiful skirt. Even Teacher Rolin said, “Iris, you’re really beautiful today!” Pandora was the only one in the classroom who sat at her desk unhappily and said nothing.
Before long, it was noontime, and everyone had agreed to eat lunch together, but Pandora didn’t move from her seat. Victor went over to Pandora and said, “Hey, what’s wrong? Are you feeling ill?” Pandora answered sadly, “I feel fine. I’m not hungry. You guys go eat.” Everyone was a little doubtful of her response, but they went to eat lunch anyway.
Victor was worried about Pandora, so he told Teacher Rolin that she didn’t eat lunch. He too thought this was strange, and just as he was going to look for Pandora, he saw her running around the field! She was sweaty and tired, but she continued to run one lap after another. Teacher Rolin wanted to tell her she should be careful running on such a hot day, and that she might get heatstroke. Before she could say anything, though, Pandora fainted!
Teacher Rolin ran to Pandora’s side, and told Victor to dial 120. Jimmy and Iris also came to help Teacher Rolin. In the end, everyone worked together to bring Pandora to the hospital.
What’s wrong with Pandora? We’ll find out next week.
Goodnight. Sweet dreams.
